It’s My Birthday & I’ll be depressing if I want to

I forgot how old I turned. I bought my own sucky birthday cake, but my son liked it so it was still the best.

Is that what it's about now? Is my birthday just a fringe benefit for my kid's cake intake? If i didn't have kids would I still be losing excitement for this day?

I recorded this episode the night of my birthday.  It felt like the perfect way to end my completely unremarkable day. I did boring stuff, sad stuff, sweet stuff. Thought about some good stuff, and ended my day delusional, tired, & happy.
