Jan Becker

Jan Becker is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker, director, producer, and founder of Exalted Media. Originally from Germany, Jan has spent more than a decade working across documentaries, television, and independent film, with a growing focus on stories of healing, transformation, and spiritual awakening. His new documentary Vision Quest follows four participants into the California high desert for a powerful retreat centered on solitude, nature, and inner confrontation. The film became deeply personal after the unexpected passing of Jan’s close friend and co-creator Christian Oliver shortly after filming. Through his work, Jan explores how grief, ancient practice, and direct contact with nature can open a path toward meaning, clarity, and healing.
